Wicomico County Fair kicks off

The Wicomico County Fair kicked off a weekend of festivities Friday afternoon in Salisbury. This year brings more entertainment, as the county continues to celebrate 150 years.
New to the fair this year is a High School rodeo where fairgoers were lined up for over an hour to catch a glimpse today.
Also new this year is a parade Saturday to celebrate the different communities in Wicomico County. The parade will be held at 1:50 in the afternoon to celebrate 150 years.
Zach Evans, Chairman of the Fair, says this is a great opportunity for the community to celebrate the culture, sense of community and lifestyle on Delmarva.
"The fair is a great opportunity to bring everyone from the community together. We aim to promote agriculture and we aim to promote the rural lifestyle that a lot of folks enjoy here on Delmarva, but if you take notice a lot of folks that you see set up at the fairgrounds it's all walks of life."
The fair will run through Sunday at 6 p.m.
