Validated parking for Wicomico Co. library visitors begins on Sept. 5

Library officials announce a new parking arrangement for visitors that will begin in September, in Salisbury.
Wicomico County Public Library officials say that the downtown library will be validating parking tickets for visitors who park in the Downtown Salisbury Parking Garage, beginning on September 5th, in Salisbury.
According to library officials, visitors will bring their parking tickets to any of the public service desks at the library to be stamped, and they will receive three hours of free parking. When leaving the parking garage, visitors will apparently present their validated ticket to the attendant to receive up to three hours of free parking.
In reference to the arrangement with the City of Salisbury, Executive Director of the Downtown Library, Andrea Berstler, says, "Salisbury intends on developing the open public lots and that eventually the garage will be the place for parking. We are pleased to have been able to negotiate with the city to offer 3 hours of free parking for library visitors. We hope that this change will make the transition to using the parking garages a bit easier on everyone."
