Three arrested in Dover drug investigation

Three people were arrested in connection with a drug investigation at a home, in Dover.

The Dover Police Department says that on Thursday, they were assisted by the Delaware State Police and the Delaware Probation and Parole while executing a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Kirkwood Street. According to the report, the warrant stemmed from a drug investigation involving the home. Police say they found 2.6 grams of heroin, .3 grams of crack cocaine, .7 grams of marijuana, and a .22 caliber handgun, during the search.

Authorities say that they arrested 36-year-old Brandy Coverdale, 36-year-old Richard Harrigan, and a 16-year-old male. Coverdale was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, conspiracy second degree, endangering the welfare of a child (3x), drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Harrigan was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, conspiracy second degree, endangering the welfare of a child (3x), drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation. The teen was charged with possession of firearm by person prohibited (2x), possession with intent to deliver heroin, aggravated possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

It is unclear if the teen will be charged as an adult. 47 ABC spoke with the Public Information Officer for the Delaware Attorney General's Office, who said that a hearing is required, and ultimately a jury would make the decision to try a teen as an adult. He said that he is not sure whether this case is in that stage.
