Police search for suspects reportedly involved in Dover teen robbery

Police say they are searching for the suspects involved in a robbery of a teen in a shopping plaza, in Dover.

Delaware State Police say on Saturday, just before 10:00 PM, a juvenile was approached by a man in the area of the 1600 block of South Governor's Avenue, in the Rodney Village Shopping Plaza. According to the report, while walking with the suspect, three other men approached the teen and began assaulting him. Police report that once the victim was on the ground, the suspects took his cell phone, belt, and a necklace before fleeing toward Rodney Village development.

The victim apparently sustained minor injuries but refused on-scene medical attention.

According to the report, the three suspects were described as males, ages 14-18 years old, and standing 5'08" to 5'10" tall. The fourth suspect was described as a male, age 11-13 years old, and standing 5'0" to 5'03" tall.

It is unknown if the suspects were armed at the time of the incident.
