Police department in Sussex Co. uses social media to show human side of officers

One police department in Sussex County hopes to use social media in order to show a different side of their officers.
Millsboro PD is trying to be more transparent by helping residents learn more about the person behind the badge.
It's all being done through social media and through one click, you'll be able to see the video on Youtube.
These Youtube videos introduce officers in a different light. A more human light.
Their first video spotlighting Patrolman Ebke, a brand new officer who just graduated from the police academy.
"It has signs that identify who the officer is, his name, how old he is, how he is a member of our community, he's from Millsboro, he's also in the military," Chief of Police, Brian Calloway, tells 47 ABC.
This platform is a big way to get social interaction between the police department and the communities they serve.
This project may be brand new, but they hope to make a lasting impression.
We are told they hope to highlight a new member once a month. They are trying to get every single person in front of that camera in order to better understand their officers.
