National Weather Service confirms tornado in Salisbury

On Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service came to area to survey the damage,  and after 20 minutes of reviewing footage of the storm and looking at the aftermath they had seen confirm an EF-1 tornado had hit.

"There is several pieces of video that I've seen that clearly indicate that it was a tornado, but in terms of the intensity it is all about what was damaged," says Bill Sammler, the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service-Wakefield.

We're told the South end of Salisbury received the majority of the damage.
