Laurel man convicted in 2016 burglary of Sharptown home

On Tuesday, a Laurel man was convicted of burglary in connection with an incident at a home, in Sharptown.

Officials with the Office of the State 's Attorney for Wicomico County say on Tuesday, 27-year-old Robert Gribble, of Laurel, was convicted of burglary-first degree.

On October 24, 2016, Gribble broke in to a home, in Sharptown, and took jewelry. He later pawned the items in Laurel, DE.

Gribble was originally sentenced to 15 years. Officials report that Gribble will only have to serve eight years and three years' probation.

The Wicomico County State's Attorney Ella Disharoon commended the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office for their work and Senior Assistant State's Attorney Richard Brueckner who prosecuted this case.
