Former Berlin Councilwoman facing theft accusations

Former Berlin Councilwoman, Lisa Hall, has been accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of meat from a grocery store for her own butcher shop.
Employees at the 94th Street ACME in Ocean City said Hall allegedly placed several large meat orders at their store and never paid for them.
The employee’s said the total value of those meat orders was about $3,000.
Police have not confirmed that Hall is the suspect, but they have confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.
Charges against Hall have not yet been filed.
Now, Hall appears to be losing her Berlin Butcher Shop altogether.
A sign was recently posted on the Berlin Butcher Shop’s door notifying Hall of a termination of her Commercial Lease.
The letter stated that Hall had not paid for her June, July, and August of 2017 rent.
The Berlin Butcher Shop will remain closed for business until further notice.
