Drugs reportedly found on Harrington man in prison

A Harrington man was arrested, after police say he tried to sneak drugs into prison.
The Harrington Police Department says that, on Wednesday, they responded to reports of a domestic dispute, in Harrington. Police say that they arrested 24-year-old Cody Broomall, of the 200 block of Railroad Avenue, in connection with that incident. According to the report, Broomall was then turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institute on a bond. Once at Sussex Correctional Institute, during a search, authorities say that correctional officers found eight bags of heroin in Broomall's underwear. Police then determined that Broomall had the heroin at the time of the domestic dispute, while a small child was in the home.
While Broomall was already in prison, police say they issued more warrants for Broomall. According to the report, after being released from prison, Broomall turned himself in at the the Harrington Police Department. Broomall was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, promoting prison contraband, and possess or consume a controlled substance. He was released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
