Dover man faces gun charges after bicycle stop

A man is facing gun charges after police say he was in possession of a gun during a bicycle stop, in Dover.

The Dover Police Department says on Tuesday, officers stopped 29-year-old Thomas Clark of Dover, in the area of Maple Parkway and North DuPont Highway. According to the report, just before 2:00 AM, Clark was stopped for a bicycle violation, and fled from officers.

After a brief struggle, police took Clark into custody and reportedly found that he had a .38 revolver in his pocket.

Clark was charged with possession of a firearm by person prohibited, possession of a firearm during commission of felony, carrying concealed deadly weapon, resisting arrest , and multiple traffic related violations.
