Clayton Police Chief placed on paid administrative leave

Clayton Police Chief Brian Hill

The town of Clayton's police chief has been placed on paid administrative leave, on Tuesday.

According to Clayton Mayor David Letterman, the town council agreed to place Chief Brian Hill on paid administrative leave.

This comes after police say that 47-year-old Brian Hill of Dover was arrested on Saturday, August 12 just after 10:00 PM, on Sunnyside Road, southwest of Smyrna for DUI-Alcohol and failure to remain in a single lane.

Hill will be on administrative leave until his case is settled. Mayor Letterman says that their focus is to do what is in the best interest of the town.

The acting Chief for the town of Clayton is Lieutenant Carl Hudson.
