Back-to-School Kickoff
It's not just kids that are gearing up for back to school this week.
Thousands of Wicomico County Public school employees will participate in a special event tomorrow aimed at getting them in back to school mode.
The rally is being held at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center
Staff from the district's 26 schools will all be on site for the special session organized to encourage team building and enthusiasm for the new school year.
District Communications officer, Paul Butler, says the event has a little bit of everything to get employees revved up.
"All 3-thousand employees are gonna be in this building tomorrow and we're gonna get energized and rally for a new school year. We're gonna hear from our new superintendent who is gonna give her vision for the new year and we're gonna have a little bit of un as well."
Organizers say Glen Road will be closed between Civic Avenue to Saint Albans Drive for the event.
Back to school for Maryland will be September 5th.
