Arson suspect wanted after setting fire to occupied home in Greensboro

Deputies say that they are looking for an arson suspect that set a fire at a home in Greensboro on Tuesday morning.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, at 1:45 AM on Tuesday morning, a firefighter with the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at an occupied home on Granby Street. Deputies say that the smoke alarm was present but it was not activated due to the fire location on the exterior.
The estimated loss of the home was $2,000. Officials say that the blaze was discovered and extinguished by the residents of the home.
Deputies say that the cause of the fire was an arson after an unknown suspect set a fire at the back door and steps area of the home.
The Caroline County Sheriff's Office helped at the scene. Two adults and two children were inside of the home at the time of the fire.
