Woman accused of making threats and chest bumping another in Milford

Authorities say a woman is facing charges after an alleged physical altercation in a Milford home.
The Milford Police Department says they responded to a home in the area of northwest Front Street for reports of a physical altercation, on Tuesday. After investigating, police learned that 29-year-old Veronica Hurtt, of Milford, went to the home early Tuesday morning, where she reportedly bumped chests with the victim, while allegedly making statements about causing harm to them. According to the report, Hurtt was in possession of a knife and drug paraphernalia. Officials say she had a no contact order with the victim that was issued in June.
Officials say hurtt was turned in to the Baylor Women's Correctional Institution initionally, because they believed that Hurtt was under the influence. Authorities say Hurtt was eventually charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, terroristic threatening, possession of drug paraphernalia, offensive touching, criminal mischief, and breach of release at the Justice of the Peace Court 2.
Hurtt was released on $2,500 unsecured bail. A future court date is scheduled for July 21 at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
