Virginia Senator Tim Kaine speaks on healthcare concerns

Senator Tim Kaine spoke on the Senate floor about healthcare concerns, after another failure by the republican party to pass the healthcare bill

On Monday it was announced that the GOP would not have enough votes to pass their health care bill but now a new option proposed by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell calls for the outright repeal of the Affordable Care Act without a replacement. Many are saying an estimated 32 million Americans could lose coverage by 2026 if congress moves forward with this plan

In his speech Senator Kaine called for Republicans to drop their repeal effort and let the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee and Finance Committees have a bipartisan, public debate on the matter.

Back in January of this year Senator Kaine sent a letter which was signed by 13 Democrats to Senate Republican which asked to stop outright repeal efforts and offered to work together on health care improvements.
