UPDATE: Lewes man arrested on strangulation and kidnapping charges

Delaware State Police have arrested a wanted man, who they say assaulted and kidnapped his girlfriend, in Millsboro.

DSP reports that 27-year-old Michael Debarr of Lewes, was arrested on Thursday. Debarr was wanted for reportedly assaulting his girlfriend after forcing her into his vehicle and not allowing her to leave.

According to the report, he was charged with kidnapping second degree, strangulation, terroristic threatening, assault third degree, and various traffic related offenses. He was later turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $9,300 secured bond.
