Thousands of College Students Headed to Ocean City
There's an event slated to draw thousands of college coeds this weekend — and its taking place right in our backyard.
The College Beach Weekend 20-17 is slated to kick off on Friday and runs through Monday. The details of exactly where the four day event is taking place is being kept under lock and key. Event-goers will have to purchase a ticket to get the inside info. Ocean City Police officials say they are aware of the event and are prepared for the extra traffic.
"We have full support from the Maryland state police so citizens can expect to see an increased trooper presence during this weekend."
Richard says on any given summer weekend — there are about 300,000 people in the city.
