Sudlersville house fire causes $245,000 in damages

After causing $245,000 in damages, the cause of a Queen Anne's County house fire remains under investigation.

The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal says that a passerby reported a house fire in Sudlersville, on Sunday. According to the report, the fire started in a back bedroom of the one story home on Goldsboro Road, just before 7:30 AM. Officials say that 26 firefighters from the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company responded to the blaze, and put it out in just under two hours. The estimated total loss is $245,000.

Authorities say that there were no injuries sustained from the fire. The fire is still under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office.
