Shed fire in Trappe causes $3k in damage

Officials say that the cause of a shed fire that happened in Trappe on Monday night is under investigation.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, 20 firefighters responded to a blaze on Main Street at 8:56 p.m., in Trappe.

Officials say that the fire caused about $2,000 in damage to the shed and about $1,000 in damage to contents.

The blaze took about 30 minutes to control and deputies say that it started on a roof line. The fire was discovered by the owner of the shed.
