Salisbury outbuilding fire causes $25k in damage

Officials say that a fire at a residential outbuilding was accidental and it was the result of a tractor engine malfunction upon ignition in Salisbury on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, at 1:01 p.m., 15 Salisbury firefighters responded to a blaze on Airport Road.

The estimated loss of the structure was $15,000 while the estimated loss of contents was $10,000.

The fire took 20 minutes to control, it started in the garden tractor inside of the outbuilding, and it was discovered by the owner.
