Rubber duckies race towards a good cause

In Salisbury, people made their way to the downtown river park and they did so for a good cause.

It's the Great Rubber Duckie race where over 800 rubber duckies made their way down the Wicomico River.

It was all to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's as well as a kick off for the Walk to End Alzheimer's that's taking place in November.

"Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States right now and as baby boomers grow older, we are going to have a lot more, so we are very anxious to find prevention, a cure, and a world without Alzheimer's," says Carol Zimmerman, from the Alzheimer's Association.

We're told the money raised by Sunday's walk goes to not only services and programs for Alzheimer's but also for research to find a cure.
