Police: K-9 scan leads to 31 grams of marijuana, over $2.6k in drug proceeds

Police say that a 21-year-old Dover man was arrested after being found with drugs, drug paraphernalia and suspected drug money following a traffic stop in Milton on Sunday night.
According to Milton Police, officers were conducting patrol duties, when an officer saw a red Kia Optima on Harbeson Road commit a traffic violation. After 21-year-old Robert Knox was stopped and contacted, police say that officers smelled marijuana.
A Milton K-9 team scanned the vehicle which reportedly resulted positive for the odor of narcotics on several places, inside and outside of the vehicle.
Investigators say that officers then found about 31 grams of marijuana, a drug scale and $2,637 in suspected drug proceeds.
Knox was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited with the following motor vehicle violations: speeding, driving while suspended, possession of a suspended license and failure to have insurance identification.
Knox was released by court on $2,500 unsecured bond pending a future court date.
