One person hospitalized after Mardela Springs crash

Police say that one person was hospitalized after a crash in Mardela Springs on Monday afternoon.

According to Maryland State Police, around 4:33 p.m., troopers responded to a crash involving a vehicle carrying a boat and another vehicle on Ocean Gateway and Delmar Road.

Police say that one person was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center as a result. Route 50 westbound near Mardela Springs is currently shut down.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
