One person dead after car crash in Felton

Delaware State police have confirmed that one person has died from a car accident in Felton.

On July 4, 2017, around  5:15 p.m., John Watson, 50 of Woodside,  was traveling west of Irish Hill Road when he lost control of his car and veered into the other lane,while approaching a slight curve east of Canterbury Road.

Chelsea Harris, 22 of Felton,  was traveling east on Irish Hill Road in her Ford Focus and stuck Watson's car on the passenger side door. Watson then went down an embankment in his Corvette.

When police arrived to the scene, Watson was pronounced dead.

Chelsea Harris was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries.

An investigation is still on going at this time.
