Officials investigating cause of Queen Anne’s County garage fire

The cause of a garage fire is still under investigation, after causing $120,000 in damages, in Chestertown.

The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal says that the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a garage fire on River View Road, just after 5:30 PM, on Thursday. Officials say the homeowner reported the fire.

According to the report, the fire started on the outside of the garage, and required 40 firefighters who were able to put out the blaze within 15 minutes. The estimated total loss is $120,000.

The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is still investigating the cause this fire.
