No injuries reported after vehicle and train accident in Harrington

Officials say that no one was injured after a vehicle accident involving a train on Friday morning in Harrington.
According to the Harrington Fire Company, at 1:04 a.m. on Friday morning, firefighters responded to a vehicle and train accident on South DuPont Highway in the area of Corn Crib Road.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a tractor trailer had been struck by a train causing heavy damage to the trailer.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured and refused transport. Debris from the tractor trailer was all over the road so both north and southbound lanes of Route 13 were shut down while firefighters and Del Dot removed the debris from the roadway.
Firefighters also reportedly found out that all of the debris was not dangerous. After the debris was taken away, and the train was moved, the highway opened back up. The scene was then turned over to the Harrington Police Department for investigation. Delaware State Police also reportedly helped on scene.
