Milford woman charged after alleged bleach assault

A woman is facing charges after police say she allegedly assaulted someone at a Milford Apartment Complex.
The Milford Police Department says they responded to a report of an assault at the Brightway Commons Apartment Complex, on Sunday. After further Investigation, police learned that 19-year-old Gabrielle Knight, of Milford, reportedly ran towards the victim and threw liquid in their face which is believed to be bleach. According to the report, the victim loss their vision temporarily as a result. Police say Knight hit the victim in the head and then tried to get away in a vehicle. While trying to leave, Knight knocked down the victim whose arm was caught in the driver's side of the vehicle. Authorities report that the victim received minor injuries from the incident.
Officials say that after a warrant was issued for Knight's arrest she later turned herself into the Milford Police Department. Once at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, Knight was charged with assault third degree, reckless endangering, and criminal mischief under $1,000. Knight given $1,100 unsecured bail and a future court date at the the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in August.
