Man injured after crash involving DART bus in Lewes

Police say that a man was treated for minor non life threatening injuries after a crash involving a DART bus in Lewes on Friday morning.
According to Delaware State Police, around 8:50 a.m., a crash happened that involved a 2009 Gillig (DART) bus being driven by a 49-year-old woman and a 2000 Dodge ram pickup truck, being driven by a 46-year-old man.
The bus was reportedly northbound about to make a left turn onto US 9 from Belltown Road when it allegedly failed to yield the right of way to the pickup who was traveling southound across US9 onto Belltown Road from the Ace Hardware access road. Police say that the failure to yield caused the two to strike one another.
The male driver of the pick-up was taken to Beebe Medical Center with minor life threatening injuries while the female driver of the bus was cited for failure to yield the right of way on a left turn.
Three passengers on the bus were not injured.
