Man allegedly violates protection order to steal debit card in Harrington

Reginald Marshall ,35, of Milford

Harrington Police say a Milford man is facing charges after allegedly stealing someone's debit card.

According to the Harrington Police Department, they received a report in June from a victim about their missing debit card. During an investigation, police identified 35-year-old Reginald Marshall, of 400 block of Mispillion Street, in Milford, as a friend of a family member, who lived with the victim.  According to the report, Marshall took the debit card while at the victim's home, and made multiple purchases.

Through further investigation, Police say they learned that Marshall had an active protection from abuse order, keeping him from contacting the victim. Marshall was taken into custody on Monday, by the Capital Police Department at Sussex County Superior Court.

Officials say Marshall was charged with one count of identity theft, six counts of unlawful use of payment card and criminal contempt of a domestic violence protective order via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court #2. He was later released on an $11,000 unsecured bond.
