House fire causes $55,000 in damages in Delmar

A Delmar house fire remains under investigation after causing $55,000 in damages.
On Friday, just after 6 PM, a passerby reported a house fire on Highland Avenue in Delmar, says the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. According to the report, the Delmar Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze, and put it out in 35 minutes. Authorities report that the fire started in the back bedroom of the one story house.
The estimated loss of the structure is $55,000. The fire is still under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
