Governor Carney participates in DSF’s Governor’s Day

At the Delaware State Fair on Thursday, one special guest walked the fair grounds.

Governor John Carney was able to participate in Governor's Day.

Governor Carney tells 47 ABC, he enjoyed walking around the variety of barns, seeing all the farm animals and livestock.

He even recognized the Delaware Wildfire Crew, who recently returned home from the Midwest.

Beyond that, Governor Carney also recognized the 40th anniversary of the Delaware Weatherization Program.

He also discussed the importance of the Delaware Bay shore. We're told this is an important reminder of agriculture history in order to protect that legacy in Delaware.

Governor Carney tells 47 ABC, "Governor's Day is really not about the governor, it's really about the governor as a representative of all the people of our state going around and visiting and enjoying the fair,"
