Fair-goers get to experience live butterflies

Fair-goers are getting something they might not see otherwise, getting up close and personal with dozens of Monarch butterflies at the fair's 'Butterfly Encounter' exhibit.
Participants enter an enclosed area to interact with the butterflies and even feed them food, with some even landing on their clothes.
Exhibit manager, Katelyn Cox, tells 47 ABC that 'Butterfly Encounter' travels all over the country to allow people this hands-on experience.
Cox adds, "Usually the response of people is they usually have big smiles on their face, I mean you get the occasional ones that are surprised, scared because they've never done nothing like this. It's an awesome job, it really is just to see the smiles on people's face and you know after they come out what they've learned. I mean it's just, it's amazing."
The exhibit gets sent a new group of butterflies from a breeder before every event, and then releases them afterwards.
