Dover preps for 4th of July festivities

In Dover, folks are gearing up for 4th of July celebrations.

Officials tell us Tuesday,  they won't only be celebrating the country's independence, but also the City of Dover's birthday.

Tuesday's festivities will include historical tours of the city, family activities, and of course a firework show for the grand finale.

"We have a parade and we have fireworks and we have two really wonderful concerts. We are really proud about the role Dover has played in history of this country," says Mayor Robin Christiansen.

Activities kick off Tuesday at 8AM, and the  the firework show is scheduled for around 9:20 PM.
