Deputies: Salisbury woman arrested for threatening and running over a victim

Deputies say that a woman was arrested for threatening to kill a woman, and running her over with the suspect's car in Salisbury on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, at 1:16 PM, a deputy responded to a home on Brookview Drive in Salisbury for a reported assault. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that a woman identified as 19-year-old Chandrae Rivers, reportedly drove recklessly into the front yard of the location forcing the people standing there to jump out of the way as Rivers car slid to a stop in a flow garden, while Rivers was allegedly yelling out the window that she wanted to kill a woman there.
The Sheriff's Office says that the deputy learned that Rivers had come to this location to confront another woman over a man. One of the people in the front yard was reportedly not able to jump out of the way and was struck by Rivers vehicle. Deputies say that after Rivers made more threatening statements, she drove away.
Rivers then reportedly went back to the scene while the deputy was there, but quickly drove away after the deputy told her to stop. The Sheriff's Office says that the deputy then chased Rivers on several nearby streets, but she pulled into a driveway and unsuccessfully tried to elude the deputy on foot.
Rivers allegedly told the deputy that she did not have a license and that she was scared along with the three outstanding failure to appear bench warrants for her arrest was the reason she tried to run away.
The deputy placed Rivers under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
Following a first appearance, the commissioner detained Rivers in the Detention Center without bond on various charges including attempted murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, driving without a license, reckless driving, negligent driving, attempt to flee and elude, and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
