Cambridge man arrested for allegedly trying to break into a home

Police say that a Cambridge man has been arrested for trying to break into a home on Sunday night.
According to Cambridge Police, at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday night, officers responded to Glenbum Avenue in reference to a burglary in progress.
When officers arrived, they met with the victim and a description was given of 36-year-old James Dockins of Cambridge, who had reportedly left before police arrived.
The victim said that they were inside of their home when they heard commotion coming from downstairs. When they went to investigate, they reportedly found Dockins breaking into the porch area of the home.
Officers found a suspect matching the description given and Dockins was identified. After further investigation, Dockins was allegedly identified as the same suspect trying to get into the home. Dockins was arrested and charged with first degree burglary and other related charges.
He is currently being held without bond.
