Accomack County Broadband Future

MELFA, VA- A Virginia company wants to hear from the public about their broadband connectivity on the Eastern Shore.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia Broadband Authority provides broadband services across the region and serve Education, Government, Healthcare and Commercial customers and the company is looking to make major improvements to broadband connectivity in the area and broaden their services.

To help kick start these changes, the ESVBA is held a town hall meeting Tuesday night in Accomack County, which they hoped would provide a space for the public to speak their mind.

"This is really an open forum for people to bring their ideas, to bring their creativity, to bring their concerns, and to really have a dialogue, face to face with those who are making those decisions about where investments would be made and what benefits will be prioritized for the community," said Jennifer Eddy, who ran the town halls.

The next town hall will be held Wednesday, July 19th in Eastville, Virginia.
