Walk away inmate wanted on escape charges in Georgetown

Authorities are searching for a walk away offender after she reportedly failed to return from an approved work pass.

The Delaware Department of Correction is reporting that Tiffany Huntenburg, an inmate at the Sussex Community Corrections Center, never returned from an approved work pass on Saturday. Officials says they have issued a warrant for escape after conviction, since Huntenburg's whereabouts are currently unknown. 

The 25-year-old is described as a white woman, standing 5' 9'' tall, weighing about 149 lbs., with green eyes and red/auburn hair. Her last known address is in Newport, Delaware.

Huntenburg is serving time for a violation of probation of a second degree burglary. Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities where offenders are transitioning back into the community, and are not secured like level 5 facilities. Inmates are allowed to leave to go to work, to look for work, or attend approved treatment sessions.
