VA primary election

On Tuesday June 13th, polls will be open for the primary election  and officials are counting on your vote.

The primary is one of the methods that a political party uses to nominate its candidate.

According to Virginia law, citizens are able to vote in only one political party during the primary election when there are multiple political party primary elections, held on the same day.

Each primary has a separate ballot listing different candidates. The voter must then decide on which ballot they would like to receive.
