Two women arrested after reportedly hitting car with baseball bat

Officials say that two Salisbury women were arrested for malicious destruction of property on Sunday night.
On Sunday night at 9:24 p.m., a deputy responded to a reported incident on Marine Road. When the deputy arrived, the deputy saw a Pontiac Sedan on the property and saw that all of the glass in the Pontiac's windows had either been shattered or broken out and there were multiple dents all over the car.
Investigators say that 21-year-old Shawnese Cannon of Salisbury and 23-year-old Tamira McLeod took a baseball bat to the car because they were upset with the man who owned it.
Both Cannon and McLeod were placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
Following a first appearance, the Commissioner released both women on personal recognizance.
