Troopers searching for suspect in Hurlock stabbing

In Hurlock, state troopers are searching for a suspect wanted for stabbing a Dorchester County man Saturday morning. 

Police say the victim is identified as 53-year-old Dewayne Camper of Hurlock, Maryland.

According to investigators, at around midnight, troopers from the Easton Barrack received a 9-1-1 call for a stabbing on the 4,000 block of Russell Road in Hurlock.

Camper told police he was walking home when he was attacked and after the attack Camper continued to walk home while his girlfriend attempted to stop his bleeding while calling police.

Police say Camper was then transported to to Easton Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
