Salisbury fire causes $50k worth of damage to home

Officials say that an accidental fire that happened on Monday morning was caused by unattended cooking.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, 20 firefighters with the Salisbury Fire Department, responded to a blaze at a home on North Westover Drive.
Officials say that one lady was taken form P.R.M.C to the Bay View Burn Center for her injuries. The estimated loss of the home was $50,000 while the estimated loss of contents was $15,000.
The fire was placed under control in 20 minutes, and officials say that the blaze started in the kitchen. It was discovered by a passerby.

Officials say that a woman was hospitalized after a fire in Salisbury on Monday morning.
According to the Salisbury Fire Department, firefighters responded to a blaze on North Westover Drive in Salisbury at 9:44 a.m.
A lady, who was in the home at the time, was reportedly able to escape from the home but officials say that she suffered burns to 50% of her back. She was transported to P.R.M.C. The blaze was placed under control at 10:17 a.m.
Officials say that units with the Delmar Volunteer Fire Department and the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department responded.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
