Resident hospitalized after fire at Dover apartment building

Officials say that the Dover Fire Department responded to a fire at Towne Point Apartments Building B on Carvel Drive in Dover on Wednesday morning.
According to the Dover Fire Marshal's Office, firefighters responded to the blaze at 10:18a.m., with reports of people trapped. Firefighters reportedly saw smoke coming from the third floor of the building.
Fire department crews quickly put out the fire and rescued a resident from the third floor of the building. Another resident who escaped on their own was taken to Kent General Hospital and later Crozer Chester Medical Center.
The entire building was condemned, and officials say that the fire is under investigation by the city of Dover Fire Marshal's Office.
