Local family featured on HGTV show

When it comes to renovating your home, there are always a few things you may want to do spruce up your space.

However, getting your whole dream house revamped with the help of a cable network might seem like a farfetched idea, but not for one local family.

Linda and Peter Roskovich were picked by HGTV's Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Renovation, a show that follows a family and makes their beachfront living dreams come true.

For the couple, it was finding a townhouse in Ocean City where they could relive their childhood memories.

"When we were looking we wanted to find something that was affordable, but that  could live with us the rest of their lives," says Linda Roskovich, one of the homeowners.

However Linda admits,  not everyone in her family was a fan of the house when they first laid eyes on it .

"We walked in here, it was one of those things where our kids were with us and they did not like it at all, especially not the youngest," says Linda.

"One of the things that needed to get replaced was the roof, there was a lot of mold damage and leaks throughout the house," says Peter Roskovich.

With help from the show, the family hey kicked off renovations, from new appliances, floors, and furniture, to creating more space to take in the view.

"The best part was all of our family and friends coming in and see a dream come true for us," says Linda.
