Governor Carney to discuss DOC initial report

Delaware Governor John Carney plans to discuss his plan to act on the initial report of the Department of Corrections independent review.

This comes days after the review team released documents that highlight dozens of problems that exist at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center after the inmate uprising four months ago.

The problems included staffing issues, lack of training, equipment and communication.

On February first, inmates took correctional officers hostage,  Lieutenant Steven Floyd died as a result.
