Gov. Carney to release initial report of JTVCC independent review

Governor Carney has announced that on Friday he will release the initial report of an independent review of the hostage incident at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.

The leaders of the review team, former Judge William L. Chapman Jr. and former U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware Charles M. Oberly III, are expected to discuss their findings.

This independent review was launched shortly after the hostage situation at JTVCC on February 1st that resulted in the death of correctional officer Lt. Steven Floyd.
