Frankford man accused of breaking in and assaulting woman in front of children

A man is facing charges after police say he broke into a Georgetown woman's apartment, and assaulted her in front of her children.
The Georgetown Police say they responded to a physical domestic complaint around 9 AM Thursday morning, at the Dunbarton Oaks apartments in Georgetown. Officers say a man, identified as 29-year-old Brian Bell of Frankford, showed up at a woman's apartment, where she lives with her two children, and demanded to be let in.
According to police, after being denied entry previously, Bell somehow made his way in through the back of the apartment, and began to assault the woman. During the altercation, the victim reportedly freed herself from Bell, and tried to leave the apartment.
Police say Bell blocked to door and would not allow her through the door. The woman was eventually able to leave the apartment through a side door, and reach a neighbor where 911 was called. Bell apparently left the apartment before officers showed up.
He was later arrested at his home, by Frankford Police. Bell is reportedly charged with burglary second degree, unlawful imprisonment second degree, assault 3rd degree, theft under $1,500, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities say he was arraigned at the justice of the Peace Court #3, and turned over to Sussex Correctional Institute, in lieu of $6,000 secured bond.
