Four firefighters suffer minor injuries in Church Hill blaze

Officials say that they are investigating a fire that happened in Church Hill on Monday night.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, at 7:56 p.m., 50 Church Hill Volunteer firefighters responded to a blaze at a three story home on Roberts Station Road in Church Hill.

The blaze took about two hours to control, and the estimated loss of the structure was $250,000. The estimated loss of contents was $50,000.

Officials say that four firefighters suffered minor injuries while trying to put the fire out. They were reportedly treated and released from a local hospital.

The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
