Former Station One volunteers gearing up to start this fall

The former Salisbury station one volunteers who are recognized as Station 13 could be serving parts of Wicomico County as soon as this fall.

County Executive Bob Culver issued a letter earlier this week to the director of EMS for the county to add Station 13 into the radio system so that they can respond to calls.

We're told the process could take between 7 to 8 weeks to get done.  Culver said service could begin as soon as September 15th.

Right now the station 13 volunteers are not funded by the county council.

We're told they will be fundraising by having bbq cookouts every Friday and Saturday this summer at their  location on Snow Hill.
