Dover man sentenced on reckless endangering and gun charges

Officials say that a Dover man was sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to six felony offenses including reckless endangering and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
In October 2016, Dover Police received a tip that 25-year-old Jamera Fisher was wanted on an outstanding warrant and that he had a gun with him.
When officers tried to stop Fisher as he got into his car to try and avoid capture, Fisher recklessly rammed his car into multiple police cars almost striking four officers.
Police arrested Fisher after one officer shot him in the arm. Fisher pleaded guilty to four counts of first degree reckless endangering and the gun possession charge.
After Fisher's seven year sentence, he was also ordered to complete 18 months of probation.
