Community leaders to host bike-a-thon in Cambridge

In Cambridge, community leaders  will be hosting a bike-a-thon.

Raymond Farrare, one of the event organizers says they will be giving bikes and safety equipment to local residents, as well as educating folks about bike safety.

"You'll see kids riding down in the middle of the street, popping wheelies. There is tickets and citations if you're caught riding a bike illegally, and I just want to bring awareness to that because there is people being hit on bikes," says Farrare.

The event will take place Saturday, July 1st from 12-4 PM, outside the Jubilee Christian Fellowship Church in Cambridge.

Community leaders are accepting monetary donations as well as bike donations to give out on the day of the event.
